Nested Lantern

“Are you there yet?” “Yes, I am”, replied the feathered friend nested in the lantern. Nature and its things.

I wished to also be there, way up, relaxing on my make believe bed, looking down on the world and the passerby, checking on them going by.

I wished I was up there dreaming, wondering what the view would be like, how the people would appear in their itty bitty costumes, react once I was spotted piercing thorough the lantern, wondering if I would irradiate a pint of light, a beacon of an answered question and let them be guided.

I wonder, if I would be sitting quietly, rain or shine, hot or cold, eyes closed, the wind blowing, taking it all in, breathing; looking in a straight line, hanging upside down or upward or down up, depending on the present combinations of rubik’s cube I land in. Perhaps, it wouldn’t be so coquettish I lean on the stairwell solid brass pretending I was home, while wondering if my newly minted roommates would parachute in to tell me a bedtime story.

The New Bridge

Porto

We all may have done things in the past that may prove to be embarrassing today, with some trying to mask or escape from the stain that disturbs us. But before fleeing or attempting to erase the yesterdays from ourselves, we should all embrace it and not cave in to the outrem. Learn from it. Grow. Redefine ourselves. Redesign tomorrow. Tap into the new, procure a principle, embody a new vocabulary. Integrate a new sweater into the daily wardrobe. Begin to live a better everyday. Be present by not repeating the same old story. Roll on the red carpet and walk on it. Cross that bridge!

Daydreaming

Florence, Italy

I want food, real food, delicious food, a variety of food. I want orange, orange juice, orange flour, orange cake, grapefruit, lemonade. I want fruits, various fruits, a variety of fruits, colored fruits. I want fresh vegetables, green leaves, many shades of hues. I want to solve the puzzle, caress the paint brush, pick from the domino table, feel my mouth full but right about now, I can only dream. I can only dream and pretend that I am at the supermarket, the aisles are filled of goodies and I running around, picking from it like a kid in a candy store. I can only because I can’t. I can’t because I am delirious. Yes, I am still hallucinating.
