Daydreaming

IMG_5731

Florence, Italy

I want food, real food, delicious food, a variety of food. I want orange, orange juice, orange flour, orange cake, grapefruit, lemonade. I want fruits, various fruits, a variety of fruits, colored fruits. I want fresh vegetables, green leaves, many shades of hues. I want to solve the puzzle, caress the paint brush, pick from the domino table, feel my mouth full but right about now, I can only dream. I can only dream and pretend that I am at the supermarket, the aisles are filled of goodies and I running around, picking from it like a kid in a candy store. I can only because I can’t. I can’t because I am delirious. Yes, I am still hallucinating.

The Walk

The time the room look dingy and you can’t seem to put down the cross you are carrying because it is playing tricks on you. Sit and ponder. Rethink. Take two. Excuse the darkness, the clutter. Don’t despair. Hand over your flag and escape through the open door. Search for a bridge and cross to the other side. Find the gift that surprises you.

The River Runs Through It

The moment when you find yourself down that water rapid and try to grab anything and everything in your way, hold on to that rock, tree branch, root, canoe, fish… to realize that you need to lay still and let it be, and cruise down that river with gusto. Yeah, life is what is, one grain of mustard, a leave in the park, a sunset, a fish in the pond. It is that box of chocolate filled with different types and flavors that rattles your boots and melts in your mouth. Life is the wind blowing, perhaps, your most precious designer dress, friend or an awesome book. Yes, a book and its many pages, life and its many narratives, Monday going on Tuesday. Find that page and turn it. Count your blessings. Rejoice. Love and let be loved.
