A Woman Should Have…

IMG_7484

Wisdom
Self-esteem and confidence
An assistant, a butler and chef
Happiness from within
Faith
Control over her destiny
A place to call her own
Anything she wants
Grace
A separate bank account
A cup of coffee, margarita and a book
Her independence
Courage
Enough shoes to fill a tank
A robot to help her put on her make up
A stylist
Her own room
A friend
A sense of humor
A manual with pictures and twenty four hour technical support
An understanding
Love
Enough lingerie to fit a walk-in closet
Her own remote control
A personal trainer on speed dial
As many hair extensions as she wants
An animated e-book
Some understanding that skinny jeans is not for everyone
Lipsticks in a cup
A sense of humor
A bottle of whiskey and mouth full of union
Patience
A husband, a boyfriend and a chewing gum
A back-up plan
Her cake and eat too
An exit plan
Her own identity card
A life.

Happy International Women’s Day!

In The Mood To Just Laugh

Laugh

Baden, Switzerland

Laugh about today and tomorrow, about what has been,
Yesterday
Laugh about being grateful, blessed and desirable
Happy
Joyful

Just laugh!

Laugh about everyday dreams, my imagination, my gives,
The pingpong ball and the train
Laugh about my creativity, my daily dances and my travels
The zigzags of life, great minds, close doors and the semicolons
Laugh about the thunderstorms and the moon, the sky and the blues, the sun and the magic
The scene on TV

Just laugh!

Laugh about forgiveness and love
The truth and the absurd, the bizarre and the groovy
Laugh about the corridor and the open door, the newspaper and its anecdotes,
The comedian and his jokes
Laugh about the plane and the bird, the earthquake and the fire
The vegetable and the supermarket
The tree and the carrousel
The dress and the shoes
Potatoes
Everything

Just laugh!

About the smile and the diner
The sadness and the equilibrium
The meal and the zeal
The pen and the cloud
The wine and the vine
The beer and the fever
The flu and the flute
The paper and the piper
Boots on the ground
Peace

Just laugh!

Laugh with me
Find something to laugh about and just laugh
Laugh, laugh, laugh until there is no tomorrow and your head aches
Laugh until your stomach stays afloat and you can’t breathe
Laugh until your life’s content and you are inebriated
Laugh and laugh euphorically and then pause,
Yes pause
Inhale
Say Amen
Thank you

I am alive because I laugh!

It Runs In The Family, My Cousin!

1911078_715291908514328_483799533_o

Meet Gorretti Pina, she is an author  and designer in Lisbon, Portugal and also my cousin. Her brother who passed away a few years ago, was also a great and renowned artist. Yes, the arts run in my family – both parents side. So, even if I wanted to, I could not escape it. She has written two books, poetry and fiction and is making her mark across the portuguese world. I hope to see her showcasing her collections one day in a major runway show.
