How can I fill that empty space
That seems a hollow pit.
When something there is missing
And nothing seems to fit.
How do you fill the emptiness
And sat the void.
The little things you used to love,
No longer seen enjoyed.
How can you satisfy the inner hunger;
When all in life has left you starved
But no where’s found the answer.
Outside yourself, you start to look
But still there, standing!

At night I write
at night I pray
at night I bawl
unafraid
without care
unadulterated
or pretenses.
At night I let go
of the words
of my will, there is.
At night they are out
calling
wandering
gossiping
only to the moon.
At dusk they chat
exhilarated
to the moon I say
I exist
at night, I rest.

A sense of humor
A manual with pictures and twenty four hour technical support
An understanding
Love
Enough lingerie to fit a walk-in closet
Her own remote control
A personal trainer on speed dial
As many hair extensions as she wants
An animated e-book
Some understanding that skinny jeans is not for everyone
Lipsticks in a cup
A sense of humor
A bottle of whiskey and mouth full of union
Patience
A husband, a boyfriend and a chewing gum
A back-up plan
Her cake and eat too
An exit plan
Her own identity card
A life.
