Arriving in Venice

IMG_4993It was a day of leisure with no specific activity scheduled but unbeknownst to us Amber – our tour guide, had something up her sleeve and others took advantage of the break, brought their tickets to visit some of the most famous islands that makes Venice our guide kind had similar trip planned, visit the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, the difference is, it was no costs for us.

It was drizzling morning when we arrived at the Stazione Marittima on the west end of the islands of Venice. We parked the bus at the Piazzale Roma bus station, walked pass through a mini flea market to catch the water taxi. Some of us stopped to savor the local pastries, yes we couldn’t wait, and since the visit was previously booked, we walked up to the boat already docked.
