I held my own Tea Party today…

Yeah, while in line to pay my taxes at the post office!

As I watched the bits and bits of the Tea Parties (I don’t know why they even call it that; the Queen of England was not even invited and Britney Spears was not available) held around the country today, tax day that got me thinking.

So, why pay it? Yeah, why pay their taxes? They have the right not to do it, the same right they are using to protest today. If you don’t like it, you don’t buy it, right? What better way to protest something than stopping the drama of it?  If you don’t like something, you don’t go on polluting a river – that’s where the tea bags ended up, do you? If you are hurting, you go to the doctor so you can stop the hurt, right? Period.

Go on, try it! Strike. I dare you if you really have the cojones, there is. Just ask those who have not to paid.

The folks are frustrated with the Federal government because it has become too oppressive. They are not going to take it anymore. So, the Republican Party with the help of Fox News had their gun-blazing helping the masses protest the showering of the financial sectors “at expense of the regular guy”.

Howdy, hooray, bravo! Translation, the folks want the money, the benefits (the roads, the firefighters, the policemen and more perks…) but they do not want the Washington control. Ok… it sounds like what got us in this mess in the first place, and its name is deregulation; no rules?

The original tea parties were held to protest taxation without representation. Hey, D.C. here is your chance. You still have no representation but have been taxated. You have been crying for years but have not found a warm shoulder. I tell you, here is one more reason to protest; there should not be any complaints now. If I where you I would also be demanding my Tea, Party.

The Republican Party was looking for to rattle the folks and rattle they did.

Cameras, light, action.

Man, FoxNews covered the “events” as if the moon struck the earth.

But really, what was that all about? Now Texas is looking for to secede from the republic; there is according to Governor Rick Perry. Isn’t that treason? “Texans need to stand up. They need to be heard, because the state of affairs that we find ourselves in cannot continue indefinitely…”, he said.

The fact of the matter is that they have any right to protest, plaster Obama’s picture everywhere and anywhere but I have news for them: taxes have been in existence since the ascension of this earth and ain’t going nowhere. Man, fear is one ugly four-letter word.

“I wanted him to experience the American right to protest against anything,” Brody told CBS4’s Jorge Estevez outside the Federal Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale. “Yes, we certainly are because I didn’t vote for this,” said Brody, who had a simple explanation for her grandson about what it’s like to unwillingly pay taxes. “I tried to explain this to him during Halloween. The kids next door didn’t go trick or treating and you spent two hours gathering candy. Do you think you should give 50 percent of your candy to the kids that didn’t bother to go?

Huh?! I am confused!
